Recall reports

An effort to recall Amanda Price, Jan Steggerda, Skip Keeter, Gerald Husnburger, and Michael Toscano from their positions as officials in Park Township, Michigan did not qualify for the ballot.[1][2]

Organizers initiated the recall campaign because, in their view, the five officials didn't do enough to stop the Ottawa County Drain Commission from creating a Park West Drain. The Park West drain diverts water into Lake Macatawa.

Path to the ballot

Recall organizers needed collect about 2,300 signatures to force the recall vote. They collected 1,700 signatures by the 90-day deadline.[2]
