If elected, my primary goal is to leave a legacy of positive change and meaningful impact on the lives of the residents in Georgia House of Representatives District 91. My legacy would ideally include advancements in education, economic opportunities, and healthcare accessibility. I aim to foster a sense of unity and inclusivity, ensuring that the voices of all constituents are heard and represented. Ultimately, I hope to leave a legacy characterized by improved infrastructure, enhanced community engagement, and a more prosperous and equitable future for District 91.

The first significant historical event that occurred during my lifetime that I can remember is the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. I would have been about 9 years old. The wall, which had separated East and West Berlin since 1961, was a symbol of the Cold War division between the communist and capitalist blocs. The fall of the Berlin Wall marked a crucial moment in history, signifying the end of the Cold War and the reunification of East and West Germany.

I embarked on my first job at the age of 13, working at my aunt's small corner store in Savannah, GA, where I managed the cash register. Since then, I have maintained a continuous work ethic, consistently holding employment for an extended period.

The ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature is one characterized by collaboration, communication, and mutual respect, all centered around the shared goal of serving the best interests of the people.

• Upgrading and maintaining transportation infrastructure.

• Addressing issues related to criminal justice reform, including prison overcrowding, rehabilitation, and recidivism.
• Enhancing community policing and trust between law enforcement and communities.

Demographic Changes:
• Addressing challenges related to demographic shifts and population growth.
• Catering to the needs of a diverse and evolving population.

Housing Affordability:
• Addressing challenges related to housing affordability.
• Tackling homelessness and ensuring adequate housing options for all residents.

No, I don't. I hold the belief that career politicians are detrimental to our country, and I advocate for the implementation of term limits. I firmly believe that nearly all citizens possess the experience necessary to serve their community effectively. Citizens manage households daily, addressing the same issues that a local politician deals with when overseeing the state.

Yes, building relationships with other legislators is crucial for effective governance. Collaborative efforts fostered through strong interpersonal connections contribute to a more productive legislative environment. These relationships facilitate open communication, the exchange of ideas, and the development of bipartisan solutions to address the diverse needs and challenges facing our community. By working cohesively with fellow legislators, we can enhance the policymaking process, promote consensus-driven decision-making, and ultimately better serve the constituents of our district.

I draw inspiration from both Bill Clinton and John McCain. Bill Clinton made a lasting impression on me as the first politician I felt a genuine connection with. His relatability, especially when he played the saxophone during his presidential campaign, resonated with me. Later in life, I discovered the remarkable story of Senator John McCain, and as a fellow veteran, I deeply admired his decision to remain a Prisoner of War when he could have used his father's connections for freedom. McCain's principled stand, including his bipartisan vote against his party on healthcare, showcased remarkable resolve and a commitment to putting principles over partisanship. Both Clinton and McCain embody qualities I aspire to bring to public service – relatability, integrity, and a dedication to serving the greater good.

Veterans Affairs Committee:
• With a background as a U.S. Army Veteran, I am passionate about supporting veterans and their families. This committee allows me to advocate for policies that address the unique needs of our veterans, including healthcare, employment, and transition support.

Criminal Justice Reform Committee:
• Addressing issues within our criminal justice system is critical. I am interested in participating in discussions and initiatives focused on reform, rehabilitation, and reducing recidivism.

Housing and Urban Affairs Committee:
• Affordable housing is a key concern for many residents. I am interested in policies that promote affordable housing options, address homelessness, and improve the overall housing conditions in our district.

These committee interests reflect my commitment to addressing the diverse needs of our community and contributing to its overall well-being. If elected, I will work tirelessly on these committees to represent the best interests of Georgia House District 91 and advocate for positive change.

As a candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives District 91, my views on financial transparency and government accountability are rooted in the principles of openness, honesty, and responsible stewardship of public resources. I believe that transparency and accountability are essential components of a thriving democracy, fostering trust between elected officials and the constituents they serve.
