I want fair district boundaries and fair primary and general elections. I am passionate about stewarding our natural resources, investing in education, and ensuring our families, our kids, and our grandkids can afford to live in Utah.
Exclusion and Embrace by Miroslav Volf
Elected officials should care about and work to represent all people in their district, regardless of party. Officials should prioritize people and country over party politics.
I listen well, I am patient, and I am willing to work together with everyone to find solutions to our biggest challenges.
A legislator should work to maintain and build trust in our processes, our institutions, and the rule of law. It is important that legislators are models of respect for our law. They should listen well to constituents and stakeholders from all perspectives. Instead of causing division, legislators should focus on finding solutions that work for as many Utahns as possible.
The governor and the legislature should respect each other, and respect the system of checks and balances instead of trying to disrupt it or grab more power for themselves.
Managing growth, stewarding our resources, and ensuring people can continue to afford to live here.
It helps to have experience. It also helps to have people who can bring in a fresh perspective from observing closely how government is working.
Yes, it's critical as part of effective collaboration.
Financial transparency and government accountability are critical for building trust with the people of Utah.
I oppose changes and power grabs that take away the rights of citizens to pass ballot initiatives. As a legislator, it would be my job to listen to and respect the will of the people.
