A vote about whether to recall Clinton Harris from his position as mayor of Wilmot, Arkansas, took place on November 6, 2012.[1] Harris was retained.[2] Wilmot is located in Ashley County. Harris was elected in 2010.
Background
The recall petition did not state any reasons for recalling Harris. According to the laws governing recall in Arkansas, those seeking the recall of an elected official do not need to state a reason for the recall. Recall organizers submitted 109 signatures, of which 92 were found to be valid. 89 signatures were required. A recall election took place on November 6.[1] Harris was retained in office.[2]
