Angela Fitterer
Angela Fitterer is the acting Pennsylvania Secretary of Education. Fitterer assumed office on November 26, 2024.
Fitterer became interim Acting Secretary following Khalid Mumin's retirement.[1]
Biography
Fitterer has served 25 years in state government, including stints as Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Wolf, Deputy Secretary in the Governor’s Office of Legislative Affairs, Legislative Director at the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and has held various positions in both the Pennsylvania Senate and Pennsylvania House of Representatives focused on crafting and steering public policy. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Saint Joseph’s University.[1]
