Tom works at Brightman's Attic, owned by Harry Brightman, and through Tom we are told of the fabricated Harry Brightman. The name and person Harry Brightman does not exist, but it comes with a prestigious history and résumé. Harry Brightman has worked high-end jobs in Paris, Rome and London. Tom doesn't have a clue who the real Harry is, and what kind of pas he has, until one day were Harrys deranged daughter bursts into the bookstore, and demands to see her father. !
