Short work of Marxist local history by the publisher and editor of the weekly Miami Valley Socialist, Joseph Sharts.
Sharts was a prominent Dayton attorney and the author of six melodramatic romance novels between the years 1900 and 1913. He was a member of the governing National Executive Committee of the Socialist Party from 1925 to 1932 and was three times the Socialist candidate for Governor of Ohio.
