The Labyrinth — Gracia Ul Naga Seyruun and Lina Inverse meet for the first time. Forced to travel together to help a village, Lina and Naga battle zombies, ghosts, a vampire, and Naga's idiocy.
A Frightening Future — Lina escorts a bratty and spoiled merchant's daughter to her summer villa all the while fending off bandits, peeping toms, and the urge to beat the crap out of the merchant's daughter.
Lina-chan's Lovely Makeover Operation — Lina gets involved in a fashion dispute gone bad, and finds herself allied with a conservative fashion designer, while Naga takes the side of a more risqué designer. The two designers want to prove each other wrong and will not hesitate to blow up shops or use mobile fortress fashion stores to do it.

This is definitely for fans of the series. I've seen some of the tv series and it's better than this ova even though I didn't finish the tv series. People watching slayers for the first time will probably find this boring. The movies and tv series is a better representation of slayers in my opinion.

Good beginning for Slayers :)
But tv series is much better. But some adventures with good comedy and a little bit of superpowers can be really enjoying. It's episodic but that doesn't matter, it's still very good.

A member of a numerous family of series about world of Slayers. Even though it was made later than the first Slayers series it has the same pattern and style. It's taking place before the first series and Lina Inverse is introduce right here for the first time. Together with Lina there is introduced somehow minor character Naga that substitute for Gourry and co. These OVAs have episodic character (that means no continuous plot), nice gags and humorous moments and Naga that is really hilarious and fully compensates for Gourry and others (sometimes she is even better).
If you liked the series then you should check these OVAs - not only because they introduce main character of whole Slayers to you, but they also complement the settings and at last ... this is the beginning of a long journey and a long story and you shouldn't miss it.

I recommend you to watch these OVAs (and even the Movies), because these differ from the Series in cast. Lina travels with her "rival" Naga instead of Gourry and co. And Naga is IMHO one of the the most hilarious female characters ever. Her laugh made me laugh every single time (some might find it annoying though).
