Sotsugyou, unlike the Doukyuusei series, is not a hentai flick. It is borderline ecchi but it is all about story between two characters. The same characters from Doukyuusei are present, but that is to the extent of the relationship.
This series should have been classified as ecchi, drama, and romance. Sotsugyou is however weak in these three catagories. It is unfortunate because people watch Doukyuusei expecting story and sex in Sotsugyou but will now find themselves sleeping through three boring episodes with no sex.
