This was an interesting mix of a magical girl & mecha series. The mechas and the fights were cool to watch especially with the backgrounds since each fight has another world background.
The character design is really good and mostly on the moe side and most characters are likeable - at least at some point. The mix of the good vs. bad characters was a bit extreme but not to bad.
The story was interesting since it had some light but also mostly dark parts. It also had some nice (and for me unexpected) twists. And the soundtrack of the anime is really good (am listening to it while writing this).
All in all it was never boring but entertaining to watch!

Mahou-ish shoujo (MS) in cool chibi-ish mecha & really good artwork with solid action!
Prod values top notch here. Beautiful artwork, vividly surreal elaborated fantasy world, mostly night backdrop with glowy artifacts. This along with its other strength, cool chibi-like mecha in flashy fight paired with gruelingly & menacing sound effects - top notch stuff. Character designs especially the coolish-cute costumes deserves a good mention. Capped with pretty good voice acting IMO, especially when portraying those maniacal vibes. All of this really sets in a surrealistic ambience of calm, beautiful yet uneasingly menacing.
Plot eases btwn school life & the more deep complicated char motives. Slighty dark, psychologically themed around trauma, and self questioning. Some parts may be dificult to catch but solid plot overall. Also OP & ED from Aoi Eir and Uru cannot go wrong
