Rich Text Editor not fully supported

In a Jira comment, Create a code block while on the Visual Tab of the editor and save the comment.

Looks as expected:

After you save it, I go back in, I find myself on the Text tab now. If I edit the code or add some text below the code block, while on Text tab, I can edit and save just fine.

If I go back in and do the same on the Visual tab, the code formatting is lost.

Can this be fixed so I can edit in the Visual tab?

@BufordTJustice thanks for submitting the detailed bug report. Unfortunately the rich text editor is not fully supported as mentioned here: https://github.com/siavashs/Prism#known-issues
I was unable to fix this bug so far.

Hi! I was also told by many users that this behavior is really annoying. I was not aware of this myself because I always use text mode in JIRA… Any idea how we could help to get ride of this issue please?

@dzogrim there is #51 which adds the initial support for RTE but there is an issue with escaping {s, so needs a little more work before it can be released.
