The stadium is located in the city of Ioannina (also called Giannina
or Giannena). It is the capital of Epirus, a north-western
region of Greece, 440 km from Athens. Ioannina is a picturesque city
built on the shore of a lake.
The local airport serves domestic flights. The stadium itself is located
within a 5' walking distance from the city centre. When there, find
the central "28th October" Street; the stadium lies 50m
off it. Just look for the pillars of its floodlights and you will
spot it easily.

More
data: The stadium bears the name of the Zossimades brothers, great
benefactors of Greece, who came from Ioannina. The stadium has a main
roofed stand on the south-east. The other three sides are covered
by just a few rows of seats, running along the athletics track that
circles the pitch. The floodlights (not shown in the 3 last photos)
and all the plastic seats were installed in September 2000. The capacity
of the stadium was 10,700 prior to that.
