Fore River Shipyard Production RecordPart 3:
General Dynamics Quincy Shipbuilding Division |
This is a complete list of all Fore River Shipyard production, listed in order by hull number. Small repair or overhaul jobs that were not assigned hull numbers are not included. During this period the yard was under General Dynamics ownership and was known as the Quincy Shipbuilding Division of General Dynamics.
This list was compiled and is maintained by Andrew Toppan, using sources listed at the bottom of the document.
Some vessels built during this period were assigned hull numbers in the series used by General Dynamics Electric Boat Division, while others were assigned unique Quincy Shipbuilding Division hull numbers. The Electric Boat hull numbers are noted as "EB" in the list.
For conversions and reconditionings, the vessel's new name (at completion) is listed under "name", the original name and description are listed under "type", and the nature of the conversion is listed under "work type".
