A trip to the UST Museum of Arts and Sciences plus bonus food trip

I’ve been to the Mind Museum, Metropolitan Museum and of course my beloved National Museum. I must say this was the first time I visited a university museum. The Tigers’ museum is the oldest museum in the country.
 
It is primarily known for its Gabinete de Fisica which is a collection of 17th century mineral, botanical and animal artefacts. I love contemporary and historical art but I steer away from natural history. What was I doing there? It was an opportunity to see something different for a change.
 
Gabinete de Fisica was used as teaching tools for classes in Medicine and Pharmacy.
 
Look at that! If you are in the UST area and a fan of natural history, the UST Museum of Arts and Sciences merits a visit. 
I was surprised to see a small hall with art from Philippine greats Vicente Mansala, Fernando Amorsolo and Botong Francisco. I super got kilig!
 
These are the chairs from the 2 papal visits of Pope Francis and Pope John Paul.
 
The museum is well maintained and quaint. You can finish going around in an hour. 

I’ve always wanted to try the original Pares and I was able to do so as well. Oh cheap thrills. Try the Original Pares Mami House along Retiro street.
